Skyrim:Thane of Whiterun

Summary

This is a radiant quest; however, unlike most of the other thane quests, you can only receive it when Vignar Gray-Mane is Jarl of Whiterun. If Balgruuf is the jarl, you can only become Thane of Whiterun by completing Dragon Rising.

The quest primarily enhances the player's status by granting the title of Thane, which is a significant social elevation. It aligns with Stormcloak interests as it requires Vignar Gray-Mane to be Jarl, indicating a political dimension. The quest does not involve significant moral choices or criminal activities.
